The interactive installation "I Want You To Want Me", by Jonathan Harris and Sep Kamvar, commissioned by the Museum of Modern Art, for their "Design and the Elastic Mind" exhibition.

I Want You To Want Me explores the search for love and self in the world of online dating. It chronicles the world's long-term relationship with romance, across all ages, genders, and sexualities, using real data collected from Internet dating sites every few hours.

The piece is presented on a 56" high-resolution touch-screen, hanging vertically on the wall, and was installed at MoMA on February 14, 2008, Valentine's Day.

Interesting. In 200 words you can say the most important thing about you... I never thought about it that way not that I use dating sites Anyway, interesting:D

If you can, you can. I don't think I would tell anyone in 200 words what they would need to know to know me completely or just about enough to be on the way of really knowing me. on principle. Because maybe that the one or two times that I would I'm just too laid open for anyone and even if I believe they might be worth it, in the end it might be just that they don't realize, and there it's all... offered up for nothing but 痛苦.

And yet people try. "Hi, I'm (...), I like (...) and I'd love to (...)" - those who look for friend/partner/lover/wife/husband with words like that... they believe it's enough, don't they? No more is needed, that's all you need to know about me...

Not you, not me, but apparently there are milions people who think like that, and that is interesting.

Yeah, exactly ne... Those are things you'd find out pretty quickly either way, dating or starting to develop a friendship... I... hmm... don't believe in dating (dating as in, blind dates, or 1minute dates or something), to put it that way xD... the only thing it's handy for is well... when you meet up with them, either there's a spark, or there's none, and that's what it's really about... or from there you could go on.
But on date sites and similar... so many jerks that just want someone to get laid with.

I guess it's the only chance they see, the only thing they have left, the only thing they think they can do.
