When everything turns to nothing, I'll still be there for you.

Here's one that I translated already ages ago, I just revised it now :3

The kanji are from kusanoo, so there might be small errors in the choice of kanji.
Romaji and translation done by me. Repeated lines that aren't written down in the lyrics are put into [*brackets].

As usual, don't repost etc etc without link to this post.

Silent Eve
Without being able to detect even your whereabouts, I was frightened by solitude
The dream that I cannot seize even though I want to, wavers

Projected outside the window, In the rain that is continuing to fall,
is the piling up reality of unceasing tear-colours
Is this an expected and needed farewell?
The voice that can't turn back even though I want it to, doesn't get through.

Turning my back on the truth, a smile against my will
There are no responses to the tying words anymore [1]

The screamed feelings, going to be broken, don't get through, [2]
Please become aware of the reason for the heaped up tears and the masochism [3]

"I don't need either vague love nor grief"
Drowned in sarcasm, the real intention was hidden [4]
What was been made important will simply
Disappear, slipping through the gaps between my fingers

The night of desperate desire, when I shivered in solitude
With about everything lost, I felt only lonely.

I'm saved by the weakness of realizing that I can't die
But please anyone tell me the meaning and reasons for living

Calmly echoing is only the sound of the rain [5]
The 12am we appointed at has already passed

The night of desperate desire, when I shivered in solitude
There are no responses to the tying words anymore

[*The screamed feelings, going to be broken, don't get through,
Please become aware of the reason for the heaped up tears and the masochism

I'm saved by the weakness of realizing that I can't die
But please anyone tell me the meaning and reasons for living]

A second time can't ever turn back anymore
Farewell, you whom I loved.

notes
[1] Tie to keep in place.
[2] Implies screaming with tears.
[3] Implies the kind of masochism where you hurt yourself, not the one inflicted by others upon you.
[4] It is sarcasm, because both 'love' and 'grief' sound the same in the quoted line. "I don't need either ai nor ai". You should also note that honne is a term used widely when it's about Japanese society and psychology. The honne depicts a person's real feelings and intentions, that are usually hidden to the public, and only revealed to close friends and family.
[5] 'Calm' as in 'peaceful, tranquil'.

(1) Written riyuu (reason, motive), sung wake (reason, meaning)
