Ahh how I love them.
There's only so much that is still clinging to me... but it's enough to have me thrilled. It contained a lot of what I love to dream about and haven't been dreaming about for months, if not years.
That I was able to fly, was one thing. And I flew very high up, and quite fast, through the clouds... I think there must have been someone with me, because it felt like showing someone around, or at least, showing them what I saw. I didn't feel cold, nor especially warm as I slipped through and along the clouds.
Suddenly, some of the clouds lifted and revealed something in the far off distance, further down than I was, to my right, but still high up in the clouds. From my position it looked like a huge, silver bubble... in the bubble a silver city as fantastic as could be. With high towers, small houses, both narrow and wide streets with cobble stones on the ground. All that I couldn't make out with my eyes, I only knew that it was there. The only things I saw about the city itself, were the towers and the roofs. It was too far off. What caught my attention much more than the bubble though, was the giant silver dragon that glided towards it, around it for a second, before he swam on through the air. He was so beautiful... [Makes me want to try and draw him]
. Long tail, long neck, huge silver wings, slender body and head, with spikes running from his neck all over his spine to the tip of his tail. The snout resembled more a dog's than a lizard's, and at the same time, resembled none of them.
I moved on, diving down through the clouds... I was going to show the people with me (I didn't really see them. It felt as if they were on my back rather than anywhere else... maybe I myself was a dragon... the way I flew and glided, just like the silver dragon...) what was down there. So we broke through the clouds, downwards, until we saw trees under us, woods, large forests and a river. I just flew and flew, the dark green trees passing by quickly. No sign of civilization yet. I knew very well where I was... what that
was down there. At least, I felt it, not really having been there before... but then, when a huge silver bridge appeared, linking one side of the river with the other, I knew for sure. The bridge itself looked more like dragons clutching a bridge. It was adorned with a lot of details you couldn't make out being so high up as I was. Yet, it was enough to know. I passed it quickly, and soon, the forests grew less, and the meadows grew more along with the civilization down there.
I told the ones with me, and as I told them, I called the land under us, or rather, the world
under us, for 'Dinotopia'. [Not that it was the Dinotopia from the books/films.]
When I reached a small tower, I touched down.
From that point on, the dream started to have its own kind of humor. There weren't many buildings right there, just something that came close to a gas station. There actually were people with cars, helicopters and small trucks, getting supplies for themselves, buying something at the restaurant attached to the gas station, or at the store, or just using the bathroom - or simply refueling their machines. The two that were with me [one of them looked like Tay's cousin Andrea, the other might have been "Andrea's" child. Neither of her real children, though.] hadn't seen the likes before... One of them pointed at something that looked similar to a double-slide. I told them that besides getting fuel, you could get your machines running again at the station, well, both your machines and... you could 'start' your dragon. It was common for kids to have small dragons to fly with, and right there at the slides, they practiced starting. The slides were just as broad as a baby dragon and a child on top would be. They were greased with some liquid that would make them glide up and down the slides just perfectly. It was fun watching the kids try to start flying like that...
There was more to the dream before, and after, mostly things that didn't have to do with that part. The Core.
